The Harbour Cruise

What made the cruise a great night...

The cruise got off to a prompt start at 7:45pm with 103 people on board. Despite many people's concerns about weather that kept them away, as expected, the climate was actually almost the opposite, with a balmy evening on the top deck.

Free beer (beer, sweet glorious beer, aaggghhh) and wine came out in abundance and throughout the night, there were no troubles getting a drink, It was good to see so many people show an effort in the dressing up stakes - from party poppers, pink girls, preists, pirates, patriots, punters, pregnant women, P platers, pussys, even a concerted effort as a piker and a part pooper.

So with an expansive boat and a generous dance floor, the cruise wound its way from Rose Bay in the east, to Gladesville in the west. The bridge skull, at around about 8:30pm went down no worries with most people having the oppurtunity to marvel at the coathanger from a new perspective. Pizzas arrived at 9:15pm and despite what seemsed to be a large dominance of the vegetarians, the food was a welcome change to the free beer.

The photographer was roaming throughout the night. The randoms that came along for the ride seemed to blend in as did Stephan Harris, flying the flag for the lecturers fraternity. The upstairs bar, serving cheap spirits and cheap shots did a brisk trade. The DJ maintained a good selection of songs that managed to have a suprisingly full dance floor towards the end of the night. And then somebody brought out the sparklers and we were all entertained like little kids for the next two minutes.

The free nightclub entry ended up aa nothing much at all, which was to be expected anyway. A select group of about 50 people travelled up to the Martin Place Bar at Martin Place (obviously) where the night continued on.

There were several definite highlights

1)
Briony and her impressive cleavage, all dressed up as a princess, showed definiate effort of getting in dress
2) Corey wins the award for creativity with his effort as a party popper
3) The biffo at disembarkment to conclude the night.
4) Some certain person falling asleep on the toilet and then with one's head in the bin. (Over the side is the best bet, I say)
5) Selby and Erin
6) The fact that the beer never ran out
7) The more than impressive showing from first year
8) The sparklers

Mind blank...end account of harbour cruise

Anyway, thanks for coming.
