What Is OOPS?

Organisation of Planning Students
The Organisation of Planning Students (OOPS) is an energetic group of UNSW undergraduate planners who organise events and educational promotions throughout the year to benefit all students studying in the Bachelor of Town Planning (BTP) Program within the UNSW Faculty of the Built Environment.

New office holders with year representatives are elected at the start of every academic year.
OOPS' main objectives are to:

* provide a social and educational support network for all BTP students;
* foster and encourage social interaction and networking between students;
* deliver educational information and news that benefit students;
* organise various fundraising social events throughout the year; and
* act as a communication focal point between students, academic staff and the wider planning profession.

The major events that OOPS endeavours to organise each year are:

* the OOPS Harbour Cruise
* seasonal pub crawls and regular BBQs on campus during sessions
* the Annual end-of-year OOPS Ball
* plus information talks and debate nights.
* other social gatherings such as trivia quizzes
* interaction with RAPI (Royal Australian PLanning Institute) and the RAPI Young Planners
