Forest of the     Kartyn'dyrysose...

You follow the portal to a small meadow surrounded by forest. Hmm, not much different from where you started. You glance around and find nothing other than the landscape and what looks like a jackrabbit's half-dug burrow. Could there have been a mistake with the portal? And if there was, how were you ever going to get back again? Your mind races from one terrible possibility to the next, including starvation, exposure, and wild animals... None of them terribly comforting.      Suddenly, a movement in the underbrush to your right makes you jump, and you watch, paralyzed as whatever-it-is comes closer, almost visible now... It's coming! You shrink away from it, afraid what it might be...  And blink in surprise when it leaps from the surrounding vegetation and looks up at you.

A rabbit? No, rabbits don't have that long of a nose... or tail for that matter. You blink again as the creature studies you, then (to your great amazement) speaks "Well, you must be the visitor that Unyko was telling us about." The creature nods "Welcome to EarthFire Denn." He bobs its little head in a sort of bow. "I'm Eartheclipsar, but everyone calls me Eclipsar. Lead Buck of Second EarthFire, replacing Earthdenner. He's found a new home with the rest of the First Denn elsewhere. I guess they were tired of all the traffic that came through here." Here he shrugs "Doesn't really matter to me, or my Denn, we're quite happy with all the attention." Eclipsar grins and you smile back, his relaxed approach and friendly attitude calming your nerves.      One of his large ears flicks back for a second, then he turns a little in the same direction, then back to you. "Sorry about that, my Denn want's to meet you... Shall we?" he motions towards a small path leading off through the undergrowth and you smile, nodding. He nods back and leads the way...
