Ishpeming | |||||||||||
A local resident, "Amanda," writes: "I've lived in this area [ Ishpeming ] my entire life, and it is indeed spooky. The entire town (or at least a good chunk of it) is said to be built over an old Native American burial ground. All over town, there've been reports of phones rining when the phones aren't plugged in, lights going on and off. Somewhere in the region of Lake Bancroft, near downtown Ishpeming, there's this old green house. It's said to be haunted by a little boy in blue footy pajamas. The elderly woman who lived there turned around and saw him standing at the foot of the stairs, dragging a blanket behind him. Not to mention, the name of the city literally means 'Heaven, or High Place,' while the city directly next to us is called Negaunee, which means 'Hell or Low Place.' Ishpeming's freaky man." |
