Big Bay Point Lighthouse: There have been two sightings of a man in the residence part of the Big Bay Point Lighthouse.
Northern Michigan University~Halverson Hall Rm 304: It has been rumored that a ghost has been sighted in room 304. It is belived that the person hung themself.
Shamrock Pub: The Shamrock, on Front St, is reported to be haunted. The building was built in the late 1800's, and was originally a furniture store that doubled as a funeral home, as it was common for furinture makers to build caskets. Most of the hauntings occur late at night after the bar is closed.
Landmark Inn: The Landmark Inn is a historical inn with rooms named after famous people that had stayed in the rooms. There is said to be a ghost said to haunt the inn. It is said that a woman was murdered there in the mid 1930's and the killer was never caught. Supposedly her ghost haunts the 6th floor where she was murdered, and specifically one room on the floor. Elevators go up and down between the 6th floor with no one around. In the room that is haunted, men have not been able to unlock the door, but women have had no problem. It is said that the front desk will recieve phone calls from the room on nights when no one is staying there. |
