It started out as a class project for a group of ambitious students who were part of the Florida Institute of Leadership Excellence. They believed that leadership is about more than a title. Or, that a person's GPA is any indication of their leadership skills.
UPI was developed as a place that all students could "find their voice", and sharpen their leadership skills.
Staying true to those humble beginning, UPI is making history during Women's History month.
