According to the Holy Bible—which serves as irrevocable proof—the primitive JUDAIC-CHRISTIAN CHURCH was started on the Day of Pentecost, at Jerusalem, in AD 33. (St. Mt. 16:18; Acts 2:1-4, 38). Jerusalem, then, was the birth site for biblical Pentecostalism. From the Church of Jerusalem Pentecostalism with its pious tongues-speaking, prophecy healings, divine miracles and related phenomena spread outward all over the Eastern Hemisphere. From Pentecost until the present these things have been known to Christians.

The biblical doctrine of speaking with other tongues (glossolalia) as in Acts 2:1-4, has never ceased to be utilized by different people, and has been known in most parts of the earth without cessation since the Day of Pentecost.[1] Quote:[2] “Many cases of glossolalia have been recorded throughout Church history.”

The holy tenets of Christ's doctrine spread geographically outward from Jerusalem to become the “first heavenly force” in Christendom. Further, the central core of Jerusalemic Pentecostalism were the tenets known as repentance, water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ, the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of tongues-speaking, and Judaistic monotheism as in Deuteronomy 6:4. (Acts 2:36) These charismatic phenomena were integral in the biblical experience and were voiced by the Apostles of the Lamb in the great Petrine proclamation. (Acts two).

The Day of Pentecost witnessed the initiation of the rite known as “baptism of the Holy Ghost.” Since that immortalized day of initial outpouring the palpable manifestation called “born-again” of the Spirit with holy tongues-speaking has never been absent from the earth. Wade Horton wrote:[3]

“This experience called 'glossolalia' has weathered the storms of the centuries and has come down to this day to be manifested in all of its glory. . .the gifts of the Spirit “did not cease with the Apostles, but are available to the Church in every age.”
