IHAVE A GREAT love for God's creation, all of it, it is amazing to me. I think some people think me a little strange as I love to watch the rain. I especially love it when it is accompanied by wind, thunder and lightning. The older I get the more amazed I am that anyone of sound mind could believe in evolution. After seeing many of the wonderful things of God's creation how could anyone possibly believe that it all just happened by chance?
Have you ever noticed the harmony in God's creation? For example, look at the birds, the fish, the land animals, man and even many insects. The vast majority have faces in similar design. A head with two eyes, a nose, a mouth and two ears. Granted fish have gills and birds have beaks, etc. but the symmetry is undeniable.
If all life simply evolved by chance or necessity where are the variations of nature? Where are the birds with the eyes on the back of their head so that they could see the predator's attack from behind? Why do almost all fish, thousands of species have a pair of pectoral fins, a caudal fin and a dorsal fin? Where are the fish with four pectoral fins? Where are the three or five or six legged cows or goats?
It would seem many scientists want to believe it because to them it is the only possible explanation. But most of them struggle with it and cannot find sufficient proof for the theory of evolution. Even Darwin concluded that it would have been impossible for the eye to evolve. The eye would be completely useless without all of it's components intact and complete, the sclera, iris, cornea, pupil, lens, conjunctiva, vitreous, choroid, optic nerve, macula and the retina.
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. [Genesis 1:20-28]
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [John 1:3]
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. [2 Corinthians 4:4]
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. [Matthew 13:14-15]
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. [Hebrews 11:3] |
