Early Human Visitors and Inhabitants
of Upper Soda Springs
Who exactly were the first people to look out over the meadows of Upper Soda Springs is a fascinating mystery.

Many who have studied the question believe that the first humans arrived about 10,000 years ago in North America.  Yet, more recent evidence suggests that the first people arrived on the continent perhaps as long as 40,000 years ago.
Where these first people came from is also a question.  Many believe that they arrived overland from Asia, crossing on a great land bridge formed during the most recent Ice Age.  Others argue that the first Americans came in boats from Asia, hugging the coasts.  Still others argue that the first humans in North America came from Europe.
