Your Time
Your time
Matters to me
Definitely more than this silly little rhyme

I want to hang out
But I don’t have my all to give
Somebody else took it
I’m barely able to live

You make me smile
Smile like I used to
It’s definitely been a while

I feel like I’ve been walked all over
Not sure I’ll ever get over
Just give me time
Trust that I don’t want to waste yours

Your time
Is now caught in my mind
I try to outline what it means to me
Can’t really explain it
Not even in my rhymes

Don’t want to lead you on
Don’t want to use you
Just want to smile
Maybe even hold you a while

Believe in my innocence
Just not sure my actions will hold true
Or even make sense

So confused
Don’t know much
Sometimes I long for company
I long to be touched

Just don’t want to waste your time
I can’t promise anything but honesty
With best intentions
All my thoughts will bear notice
I won’t fail to mention

Wanna hang out
Don’t want to lead on
I reach out
Looking for somebody or something
Just to hold on

Need to be distracted
Just not sure what I’ll do
Or how my actions have made you reacted

Just want to be careful
I want to be mindful
I want no games
I want to be seen
I’ll hold no blindfold

Careful of your time
Not sure if I want to make you mine
The answer will come
But it will come in time

Take care of yourself
Do what you have to
I’ll do what I do
Just know that I appreciate you

There are no guarantees
Even though I try to please
But try to put your mind at ease

I care about you
I care about your time
Just don’t know how to act
Don’t know what to do
Gotta figure out what you are to me
And just who I am to you
