*For your safety, and the safety of the park and other visitors, please
ride your bike on the paved roads. There is a bike trail starting at
the Spillway.
NATURE CRAFTS - Join us for an easy to make craft for everyone - make
your own souvenir of your visit to Beavers Bend! We'll make something
different each day.
BIG KID CRAFT - Just a little more advanced than Nature
Crafts,
recommended for ages 8 and up.
ADVANCED NATURE CRAFTS - Designed for ages 12 & UP.

AT NATURE CENTER as we have a limit of 15. Advanced crafts are more time
consuming than other crafts and require a certain amount of manual
dexterity. We will be making either baskets or dream catchers.
BEADY CRITTERS - We are making different critters out of string
and
beads - care to join us? Recommended for ages 8 and up.
*Only 1 session
of Beady Critters will be offered each day. Please be on time - if you
are late, you might not get to join the session.
SOUVENIR CRAFT - This craft is such that you can design your own
souvenir of your visit to Beavers Bend.
NATURE WALK - Meet at the
easy walk near the
BIRD TALK - The
cannot survive in the wild, and we use them in educational programs.
Here is your chance to get better acquainted with one of these
magnificent birds of prey. A different bird will be presented each
session.
CAMPFIRE PROGRAM - Join us on the lawn for legends, history,
tall-tales, and some roasting - we have marshmallows, biscuits, and
hotdogs - we need some help roasting all of them!
SNAKE FEEDING - We will be offering a live mouse to a NON-VENOMOUS
snake in a demonstration of how a constrictor hunts and kills. This is
a natural step in the food chain.
THINGS THAT SLITHER & HISS - Ever wanted to learn more about animals
like - maybe even a spider or two? Now is your chance! Stop by the
hate.
HAWK & OWL FEEDING - The
and federal permits that allow us to take care of protected birds.
Learn more about the hawks and owls that are housed in the flight cages
near the Center. We feed them animals that have been donated to the
WATER BALLOON TOSS - This is just what it sounds like! A
great
chance to get wet and cool off!
CREEK WALK - We are going IN Beaver Creek, looking for signs of
and
also checking on the health of the creek at the same time. Tennis shoes
or an Aqua-type shoe are required for this activity.
HAYRIDE - Join the wagon master at the Beavers Bend Depot and
Riding
Stables for a guided tour of the River Bend
area. COST: $5.00 for 12
and under (& over 65); $7.00 for those between 13 & 65.
