Up Spook Hill in Metal Edge Magazine!

Yikes Magazine

Up Spook Hill's much anticipated cd is complete and soon to be in the stores. A powerhouse of polished and poised hits, "the Dead of Winter" is this local mainstays debut for 3930 records. It successfully captures the grinding power and focus of this bands impressive live show. This ambitious new cd covers alot of ground. "If murder was legal" envelops you in characteristic thunder, while "who the fuck I am" continues the unrelenting onslaught through "crucify" and "feel your pain", and other headbangers like "never see you again". But, "blind" seems to come from a different level. Its toned down if not mellow. The vocal harmonies and acoustic guitar blend with the bands distinctive metal-edge. The narrative of "Mr. X" adds depth and demension, while the spooks combine rap and hardcore influences to deliever the message of "Leave me be". "The Dead of Winter" will definetly warm up your cd player with the best of these local boys made good!
