At UPW Renegade, just two weeks ago, the world witnessed the most controversial ending in UPW history during the six man elimination match up pinning the UPW against the EHWF Renegades. Laura Allen, daughter of Craig Allen shocked us all re-aligning herself with the likes of her father and her ex-husband Jay Jenkins when at first what looked like a fearless attempt at defending her mother, Jenny Allen, became a sneaky constructed plan to lay down in the end when it came down to her and Jay, resulting in Rex Damien having to hand the company back over to one of the most famous leaders of Professional Wrestling, and former owner, Craig Allen. This week live from the most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, we will hear from for the first time, our new chairman, Craig Allen and find out the state and fate of the UPW as we know it. What does Craig Allen have on is mind? And why did Laura re-align with him? Also this week on Showdown, the UPW kicks off one of the most anticipated nights of Champions, when all 3 covenant World titles are showcased in one on one matches. For starters, the UPW Hardcore title will be on the line when our newest Hardcore Champion, Shane Mathews after defeating Stevie Zander at Renegade defends the title against a certain Individual who wasn't so lucky to bring home gold just 2 weeks ago, Sarah Kennedy. These two battled a week before the highly promoted September event, and tour the house down. Can they do it again? Can Shane Mathews you make it 2-0? Or can Sarah Kennedy pull off making Shane Mathews title reign one of the shortest in history? And speaking of Sarah Kennedy, what does she have to say about Jay Jenkins and this alliance with ex-wife Laura Jenkins? Don't they have something going on at the same time? Will she be informed? Secondly, the night continues with one of the most anxiously awaited re-matches of UPW, when the Grappler, Ebon defends the World Television title against long time rival, and the Backbone of the UPW, Jay Jenkins. These two brought a true passion back to the business just 2 months ago at UPW Redemption when Jay Jenkins lost the title in a match some have elected as a classic. And even though Ebon just barely escaped, Jay Jenkins has been looking to get back at Ebon just once more, hoping to break the curse that he hasn't beaten Ebon in the 7 years he's been in the business. Will this Saturday be his night? Or can Ebon continue the winning streak since Redemption? And finally the fans of New York will be excited to hear, that the action only gets better, when Johnny Vassie, our World Heavyweight Champion, defends the title agaisnt number one contender and adversary, David Brujah. While some make the argument that Johnny Vassie lead the UPW into the fight agaisnt the EHWF Renegades, others argue that he's one of the most honorable Champions of our time and of this sport. And while some can argue this could possibly be a very technical match-up, everyone can agree it's going to be a classic. David Brujah has been sweating his way through the ranks for quite some time now, eventually finding himself this Saturday in front of the World Champion. Can he regain the title? Will there be a miracle in Madison Square? Or can Johnny Vassie prove once again that he's a Champion for a reason? Also, after many months of recovering, Madison Square will witness the return of the Straight Shooter, and the Smoothe Criminal, Jason Copeland. What will he have to say? And will Zander be in the house as well? And if so will these two cross paths? And these questions and more will be answered one way or another this week live on Showdown! All the action starts live at 9/8c this Saturday. Don't miss it! |
