Hellow! It's me Alex - Shevchenko Alexander. My callsign UR5EAW was given in April 1995 (extra-class). I was born in Dnepropetrovsk City on April 16 in 1960. Dnepropetrovsk City is in the central part of Ukraine. It’s a very big and beautiful city. It's a highly developed one. The population of the city is about 1.3 million people. It's an industrial and shuttle-project centre of Ukraine and the former Soviet Union. Dnepropetrovsk is situated on one of the greatest and biggest rivers in Europe. My hobby is HAM RADIO - I’m greatly fond of it. I've got membership in Ukrainian Amateur Radio League (UARL), Diplom Interested Group (DIG), Russian Robinson Club (RRC), International Club of Diplomed Radioamateurs (KDR), International Beer Radio Club (BRC),Russian Contest Club(RCC),Ukrainian CW Club(UCWC) and Regional Club "M-73". Travelling throughout the world I used various callsigns: HA1AD/2 in Hungary, OE1XA in Austria, DC1/UR5EAW in Germany. My portable callsign in Lisichansk is UR0MW. I am a member and manager of Ukrainian National Radio HF Team (EM0HQ) and Headquaters Station of UARL. I work as a chief -manager of UR2E club station at every contest. I am the president of Dnepropetrovsk Regional Radiosport Federation. My ex-hobby is motocross: I have been in it for a long time and I’ve reached the highest results. At present I work at Law Academy of Internal Affairs (Dnepropetrovsk City). I have a scientific degree in computer technologies and up-to-date database systems. I am married, there are 5 of us in the family: my wife Tatiana Shevchenko, my two sons Yuriy and Konstantin (they are fond of football), my daughter Yulia (she is good at arts) and me. Due to radio and motosport I've got a lot of friends all over the world.
