Faeries are irrational, poetic, absurd, and very very wise
                             ~Brian Froud
For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by fantasy.  Starting with unicorns, my world grew to encompass dragons, faeries, pixies, gnomes, trolls, goblins, and a multitude of other creatures.  I would search for them in the woods behind our house, in my mother's flower garden, and in the vast pastures of our neighbors.  As I grew, I came to accept that the chances of catching more than a fleeting glimpse of any fey creature was slim to none.  The world was simply too populated.  However, I never gave up my search; I simply decided to focus on research.

When I first saw Brian Froud's artwork I knew that I had found someone who had caught more that a glimpse of the creatures I had sporadically pursued.  Wendy Froud's dolls are also the most wonderful pieces of art I have ever seen.  One of these days I hope to own one, but that day looks to be a long way off.  However, one can still enjoy thier artwork.  Below are some links to Froud sites on the web.  If you know of any you think should be included, please contact me by clicking on the image of Sarah and Hoggle to your left.
