Rule #1 - FIND THE MOST NON-HUMANLY PASSABLE ROUTE TO YOUR TARGET (Where the opponent would least expect you to anyone from), ONCE YOU'VE FOUND IT USE IT.
Rule #2 - WHEN GOING FOR A FLAG STATION SET YOUR FIRE AT AN REAR ANGLE (10 o'clock or 2 o'clock) [Example: Center of the clock is the target, the supporting fire position lays down suppressive fire from 6 to 12 o'clock (this is a diversion] ONE MINUTE INTO THE COVER FIRE THE OPPONENT(S) ATTENTION IS DRAWN TOWARDS THE FIRING TEAM. AT 1 TO 2 MINUTES THE FIRING TEAM SHIFTS THEIR FIRE DEPENDING ON THE ATTACK ANGLE OF THE ASSAULT FORCE TO EITHER THE 6 to 9 O'CLOCK OR 6 TO 3 O'CLOCK POSITON. THE ASSAULT TEAM THEN ATTACKS FROM EITHER THE 10 O'CLOCK OR 2 O'CLOCK POSITION AND GOES FOR THE FLAG STATION IN A "REAR TO FORWARD ANGLED FIRING MOVE". THE INITAL SUPRISE FROM A FIRE REAR ATTACK WILL FORCE THEM TO EITHER "A", TURN AND FIGHT OFF THE ASSAULT TEAM AND EXPOSE THEMSELVES TO YOU OR "B", BREAK FROM THE ASSAULT AND PASS THROUGH YOUR FIRE IN ORDER TO BREAK CONTACT. (Neither choice being a very good option)
Rule #3 - IF IT SHINES "TAPE IT", IF IT RATTLES "TAPE IT" IF IT DISPLAYS A NATURAL OUTLINE, BREAK IT UP WITH THE USE OF GILLIE WEAR (Tape it = Green Duct Tape.
Rule #4 - IF YOUR ATTACK IS GOING WELL AND YOU'RE ADVANCING GROUND QUICKLY, "BREAK CONTACT" 9 TIMES OUT OF 10, YOU'RE BEING LURED IN AND SET UP FOR A AMBUSH.
Rule #5 - ANTICIPATE YOUR OPPONETS NEXT FEW MOVES. INFLUENCE HIS NEXT MOVES IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!
Rule #6 - MOVE IN PAIRS NEVER ALONE.
Rule #7 - FIND THE 1ST AND 2ND BEST OBSERVATION SPOTS IN A GIVEN AREA... ONCE YOU'VE DONE THAT USE THE 2ND BEST OBSERVATION SPOT. ANY GOOD COUNTER-SNIPER OR SCOUT TEAM WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU OR HAVE THAT "SWEET SPOT / HIDE POSITION" TARGETED.
Rule #8 - ELIMINATE THE LEADER (USUALLY THE ONE SHOUTING OUT COMMANDS) THEN GO FOR THE INDIVIDUAL THAT POSES THE BIGGEST FIREPOWER THREAT TO YOUR TEAM BY MASSING YOUR FIRES. IF BOTH ARE ACCPOMLISHED, BREAK CONTACT AND TRY TO MOVE IN FUTHER.
Rule #9 - IF MOVING IN A FORMATION AND YOUR POINT MAN IS ENGAGED, HE WILL DROP BACK 10-15 METERS AND FORM THE BASE OF THE 90-DEGREE "V" AND LAY DOWN COVER FIRE, THE FORMATION WILL THEN ALTERNATE BREAKING LEFT FORWARD AND RIGHT FORWARD AND PUT THE TARGET IN A CROSS-FIRE. THE FORWARD TIPS OF THE 90-DEGREE "V" WILL CONTROL DIRECTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE TEAM. IF OUTNUMBERED THE TIPS WILL ADJUST REARWARD AND BREAK CONTACT UNDER THE COVER FIRE OF THE POINT MAN. THE POINT MAN THEN BECOMES THE REAR SECURITY FOR THE TEAMS TACTICAL WITHDRAWL OR AS THE ARMY GOES RETREAT. REJOIN THE SITUATION ,TRYING TO WEAKEN YOU OPPONENET AND MAYBE PUT THEM BACK TO BASE.
Rule #10 - WHEN NOT IN A FIREFIGHT "SLOW IS FAST" WHEN ENGAGED IN A FIREFIGHT "FAST IS NOT FAST ENOUGH"
FINAL RULE! - COVER YOUR BUDDY!!! NEVER ENGAGE IN A SUSTAINED BATTLE, WHITTLE AWAY AT YOUR OPPONENET IN ASSAULTS AND WITHDRAWLS. WHEN YOU ARE ASSURED THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN OUT MOST OF YOUR OPPONENT(S), REGROUP!THEN GO IN FOR THE WIN!
