Skuld | ||||||||||
Obligation, I have heard men call you Skulda. They say this of you, as a darkness, as a slight. Obligation. It is almost a curse. But obligation is that which must be. You are the only one who knows which roads end. You are that which cannot be avoided. Consequence, some have named you- but what is forgotten is that at one time, a choice was made, a choice which allowed you to find that place where consequence and obligation must meet.
Skulda is often feared. It is an irrational fear, however, for we have made choices, sometimes by mere birth and association among others which allows that which cannot be avoided to come to pass.
