Jail move granted to seven Bali bomb prisoners
Officials in Indonesia say seven men convicted for their roles in the October 2002 Bali
bombings have been allowed to switch jails on "humanitarian" grounds.
The seven have been moved from Bali, where 202 people perished in the October 2002
nightclub attacks, to East Kalimantan province on the island of Borneo.
Officials say the move means the prisoners are closer to family members.
The seven, who were originally arrested in East Kalimantan, are serving terms of three
to five years.
They were among 14 people arrested for helping to hide two key Bali bombers, Ali
Imron and Utomo Pamungkas, alias Mubarok.
