Indonesian militant regrets hotel bombing
An Indonesian Muslim militant who allegedly helped mix chemicals used to bomb
Jakarta's Marriott hotel a year ago has told his trial that he regrets his actions.
Ismail, who has several aliases, told the South Jakarta district court he regrets the
fact that Indonesians were victims of the August 5th attack.
Only one of the 12 dead was a foreigner, a Dutch banker.
Prosecutor Laury Saffi told the court Ismail helped plan and carry out the bombing of
the US-franchised hotel.
The trial was adjourned until later this month to hear the prosecutors' sentence
recommendation.
