Hi,
I am Dr. S.K.MANI IYER. I am a UROLOGIST practising Urology (Specialist dealing
with the surgical management of diseases affecting the Kidneys, Bladder,Prostate and the entire Urinary Passage.
My practice involves HI TECH (and conventional) treatment of Prostate Enlargement (common in men above 55 years of age) apart from treatment of the most common problems like Urinary Stones, Urinary Infection, Infertility (Male), Urinary Incontinence (loss of control over urination), Erectile Dysfunction (Impotence), Tumors of the Kidney, Bladder and Prostate and some of the problems associated with the Urinary tract( circumcision, hidden testes, Hypospadias etc) and also conditions like Varicocele, Hydrocele etc.
My Practice is situated at Sharada Urology
Centre, which is
located at 575, 80 feet Road, 8th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore 560 095, INDIA.
This is in centrally located, yet a residential locality of Koramangala,
which is in South Bangalore. The Centre offers High Tech, ultramodern
facilities for treatment of the above problems, with the aid of friendly staff,
with a one to one nursing facility. TUNA Prostate ablation is the most
ultramodern minimally invasive treatment available for Prostate enlargement
(BPH) today. This is available as a day case treatment.
Apart from these, most
of the inpatient services in Urology are available for the management of the
above problems. Out patient services include: Consultation, Urological
Ultrasound Scan, Uroflowmetry (assessment of the
speed of the Urinary flow) and Fiberoptic Cysto urethroscopy, a minimally
invasive diagnostic tool for the examination of the urinary tract.
Bangalore City is situated in the Mid South of India, has a very cool clime and is very cosmopolitan indeed. Also dubbed as the 'Silicon valley' of India, it is blessed with plenty of greenery (this is rapidly being replaced by construction work - development!) and is also called the Garden City of India.
About Myself:
I grew up in Bombay and graduated from the
Grant Medical
College, Bombay, in
1977, where I did my postgraduate studies in Surgery and did the Masters in
Surgery in 1981. In 1982, I went to the UK for further studies and did the FRCS
Ed in 1983. Thereafter, I moved on to Urology and after sufficient experience
in clinical Urology at the Institute of
Urology and various
hospitals in the UK, did my D.Urol(Lon)from the Middlesex School of Medicine,
London University in 1987. I spent4 years thereafter as Consultant in Urology
in hospitals in UK; prior to my return to India in 1997, I spent 2 years in a
prestigious private hospital in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
My centre provides most personal care for in-patient and outpatient on a ‘One to One’ basis which my patients appreciate very much. We are always open to suggestions at our centre for improvements in patient care. Our nurses and other staff have the same Mission Statement…. Patient comes the foremost, all else is but secondary!!!
I am married to Maha, a London Montessorian and have two great
kids- Deepa (1987) and Sandeep(1990) who attend the National Public School,
Indiranagar, Bangalore).All of my family joins in (sometimes)to add to the
atmosphere of family set up in the hospital!
