URVI MANIAR'S POETRY

LIFE

When I try to peep,
In my heart very deep.

I find a serious question,
Leaving me in sheer depression.

What is life in real?
Is it something very trivial.

The answer I got from eternity,
Or let me say the divinity.

Life is a tree,
Almighty God plants it,

Loving parents water it,
We have to look after it.

So why not be chary,
Let this tree no spoil,

For this, really hard will we have to toil.
Remember, at no stage are we alone,

Almighty God is for us and our own.

EGO

It consists of only 3 little letters,
But can lead to hundreds of unsolved matters.

No matter what be the age,
Be it a king, a slave or a sage.

Its roots penetrate deep in soul & heart,
Once set firm, its hard to get them apart.

It brings pain, suffering & agony,
Fills heart with animosity.

It’s a weapon,

That kills the peace of mind,
Makes an individual totally blind.

It is a sure cause of decline,
But comes without any prior sign.

Then have we gone mad,
To nurture ego, being aware that its bad.

So why not let our ego die,
And rest be assured to fly,

Very high,
In life’s sky.

MONEY

Its been discussed from ages,
It will continue being discussed for ages.

Boredom can seldom be there,
When topic of money is in the air.

Men is chasing money,
As bees chasing honey,

For few it carries guarantee of happiness,
For few it is the cause of illness.

But also, let me no forget saying,
Nor is wealth a curse nor poverty a blessing.

Road to wealth can be as simple as the road to mill,
But which road to select depends on our will.

Immense satisfaction lies with rational savings,
Compared to the momentary pleasure brought by irrational spending.

Never allow your income exceed the outgo,
Nor do forget ancestor’s saying easy come, easy go.

Money can be a devoteful servant for you,
But beware, it can also be a terrible master mastering you.

SHE

She is my best guide,
Showing me the right side.

She is my best mate,
Makes me believe in God and fate.

She is my best supporter,
She is my best tutor.

She is my best teacher,
Reveals me some facts, though bitter.

Oh, She is so optimistic,
Teaches me never to be pessimistic.

I feel so proud of her,
She is none else but my mother.
