We finally found Hollywood! If you don't know exactly where you're headed, you can get quite lost in L.A! We visited the famous Graumann's Chinese Theatre with all the foot and hand prints in the cement of famous people past and present. I had my photo taken with my hands on the one for Marilyn Monroe.
Then, we headed up the Walk of Fame (with all the stars named for famous people) to the Wax Museum. That was alright - not brilliant! We kept coming across stuff that really could have been improved on, and there were some there that didn't even look like who they were supposed to! After that we went and had a look around the Guiness Book of Records building. That was pretty cool!
After lunch at the Snow White cafe and a mandatory visit to the Disney store, we headed off to try and find Rodeo Drive. That's the place with all the big homes. After having driven all over the place, we decided to ask directions. We finally arrived - at Rodeo Road! Not quite what we were looking for, but it was fun anyhoo! How funny to think that we had been trying to find the wrong place all that time! We decided to head down to the beach there, and then we settled back in for the 3-hour drive home! |
