How To Make Another Type Of Airsoft Claymore

Airsoft Claymores

First off getting the supplies. You will need the
following:
1.) Champagne Style Party Poppers
2.) And Of Curse BB's
3.) Knife or Screw Driver
4.) Cable Line Staples
5.) ILET Screws
6.) Fishing String

Also you can get the party poppers here for $7.20 (and the link is no more so just click the here and you can find the party poppers there for $7.20 a box) for a box of 72, or if you don't want that much then you can get them for 30 cents a piece here. And you could probably get them at your local party store too.

Okay what your going to do is take the knife of screw driver and carefully pry up the first cardboard circle on the party popper (and carefully because you are going to reuse this part.) and put that aside. Next take out the confetti in the popper, and put the BB's in(You can averagely fit between 18 and 21 BB's, be careful not to over load it though), they should just sit on top of the other cardboard circle thing inside the popper, and then carefully put the other cardboard circle that you set aside back in place, Now you have a Airsoft Claymore. You can also buy some OD spray paint here, whitch you can paint the claymore with so it does not stick out like a sore thumb. You can also essentially place it however you want, but I have came up with a good way to set it, which is what the other supplies are for.

First take the fishing string and tie it to the party popper string, you can use a square knot or water knot, or whatever holds. Second, postion the party popper in the direction you want, and then take a cable line staple, and staple the back neck part of the party popper, to the tree (be careful not to hammer it tight if you do you might set of the charge and shoot the claymore!), and then screw the Ilet screws in the tree, and put the fishing string through the Ilets, and then tie the other end to another tree, put some brush or tree branches, or some kind or natural foliage over it (be careful not to block the end of the claymore or it will not hit your target), and your ready to take your unsuspecting victims out. Also if you don't want to buy the ilet screws then you can use the cable staples instead, I find it esayer to do that any way.

I will have some pictures of the claymores in action, and some more pics of the supplies, and the setup, coming soon, so check back.

(UPDATE July 3rd )Just tried the claymores in a CQB game two weeks ago and bagged a few kills with these babies. They work great, they give off a nice loud pop and spit BBs every where. These claymores work awesome...

(UPDATE May 9th 2003)Thanks to the test done by Vincent the claymores are estimated to shoot between 150fps to 200fps, also taking into consideration that different brands and poppers might give off a different fps due to the charges being made a little different in each popper and brand... I have gotten pretty good results by different brands but they are hardly unnoticeable. The fps might vary too depending on the different weigh bbs. You might have better results with .12g's than with .20g's.

If you would like any of this information then drop me an E-mail and let me know why you want it and I see what I can do. HangingChads@hawaii.rr.com
