a day lab is like a tiny enlarger and easle. you place your slide into the holding slot and focus and all that crap. then you expose the polaroid film to the slide. it's like taking a picture with the slide. after pulling the polaroid out of the carrier you wait 8 seconds to a minute depending on the slide. this one took i think 15 seconds. you place the negative side face down on a smooth but heavy sheet of paper. and use an ink roller for about a minute rolling in one direction to transfer the dye to the page. it's really easy.
