Voyager

The crew of the USS Voyager is a very close knit group. Since being pulled from the Alpha Quadrant to the Delta Quadrant nearly seven years ago, they have changed more and gotten closer to people than they ever thought possible. The crew complement of 152 is comprised of both Starfleet and Maquis crew members. Below are some short bios to help you understand a bit better.

Captain Kathryn Janeway:
Captain Janeway is the captian (I know, big surprise there). Usually called "Captain" or "the Captain", she is very feisty and runs her ship with a rather firm hand. Due to the circumstances of being thousands of light-years from home, she has become closer to her crew than she would have let herself be otherwise.

Commander Chakotay:
Chakotay is the Native American first officer aboard Voyager. Formerly the captain of a Maquis vessel, Chakotay is now a trusted friend and advisor of the captain. He is very personable and calm, most of the time, and is pretty much the only person the Captain allows to call her Kathryn. Chakotay is on the right.

The Doctor:
The Doctor is an Emergency Medical Hologram orginally brought on line after the ship's doctor was killed after bring pulled to the Delta Quadrant. He has progressed tremendously in the seven years since he was first brought on line, going from a sarcastic hot-headed know-it-all to a more compassionate caring man who continues to improve upon himself. The Doc is on the right.

Neelix:
Neelix is the Talaxian cook/morale officer/ambassador. He is a friendly and jovial kind of guy, but can be serious when he needs to. Most days he can be found in the mess hall, cooking up a storm and staying on top of events and gossip aboard the small ship. Neelix loves to talk and get to know people.

Ensign Harry Kim:
Harry is the comm officer. The youngest of the bridge crew, Voyager was Harry's first assignment. Harry is usually somewhat quiet and started out gullible, but has grown up a lot since his posting on Voyager. Tom and Be'Lanna are Harry's best friends.

Lieutenant Tom Paris:
Tom is Voyager's pilot. He was freed from a Federation penal colony to work on Voyager and has managed to turn his life around, with the help of his shipmates. The son of an admiral and a former Maquis, Tom has changed from being an uncommited fly-boy to being an extremely loyal and dependable pilot and friend to most of the crew. Tom is married to Be'Lanna and is best friends with Harry.

Seven of Nine:
Seven of Nine, tertiary adjunct of unimatrix zero-one, was rescued from the Borg approximately 20-25 years after being assmilated as a young girl. Seven, as she is usually called, does most of her work in the astrometrics lab she helped design. She still contains much of the knowledge of the Borg and is trying very hard to develop her humanism.

Lieutenant Be'Lanna Torres:
Be'Lanna is the half Klingon, half human chief engineer. A former Maquis with a terrible temper, Be'Lanna is now completely commited to the Voyager crew and Captain Janeway, though she still struggles to control her temper. Be'Lanna is married to Tom Paris.

Commander Tuvok:
Tuvok is the Vulcan security chief and second officer. As a Vulcan, Tuvok keeps his emotions buried under years of training, though if asked he will deny having emotions. Tuvok is closest to Captain Janeway, and is very loyal, though he will not hesitate to tell her what he thinks about her decisions.
