Kodomo no Omacha- Child's Toy
 This anime is about an 11-year old girl named Kurata Sana. She is known as a famous child actress. When she was little, her mom made her join a theatrical company named 'Komawari'. Things progressed very nicely and now she is the star of a very popular TV show called 'Child's Toy'. She is very energetic and lively. Her mother is a famous writer and Aoki Award winner. Her manager, Rei who is at least 20 years old, is also her boyfriend and pimp. The anime starts out with Sana wanting to return peace back to her six grade class. The evil monkey boss, Hayama Akito has gotten the teachers all scared of the class's boys and so nothing is taught. After some wacky hijinks, Sana finds out from the teachers that Hayama has pictures of them kissing and stuff in the school office. Then Sana proceeds to blackmail Hayama by taking a Polariod of Hayama with his pants pulled down. Sana got him to apologize for terrorizing all the girls and give back the teachers' their photos. Afterwards, Hayama and Sana stike up a sorta acquaintance where they talk. Hayama pulls out a knife one time and told Sana to kill him. Seriously. Sana is incredulous and runs from this freaky kid. But then we learn of the reason. Hayama's older sister and father both blame him for his mother's dying after giving birth to him. He's called a demon child by his sister and his father rarely comes home from work. Sana is doing a movie about the same topic at around this time and she manages to reconcile the whole family through it. When she catches Hayama outside eating his dinner, she tells him to pretend she's his mother. Hayama is ultra reluctant, but when Sana says "Aki-chan, I had you because I love you", Sana realizes that Hayama has a fever. His father shows up to take him home, saying that he'll be home earlier from now on. It'll sound more sweet if you actually saw it. So, because of this incident, Hayama start developing feelings towards Sana. But Sana has her pimp, Rei. On a field trip, Hayama steals a kiss, her first kiss btw, from Sana and she is totally wierd out because she was going to save it for her Rei. This is around the time that we find out where came from. At around 7, Sana pulled Rei the bum from the street who said a woman destroyed him. Rei is in actuality not Sana's pimp, but only a paid employee of Sana's Mama. After Rei sorta gets back with his old girlfriend whose now a famous actress, another 11-year-old actor, Naozumi shows up who knows Sana's secret. It's at this time that Sana's mother released her book, "My Daughter and I". In it, it tells how Sana was an abandoned baby and how as someone who could not have children, Mama adopted her. Then at age 4, Misako encourages Sana to join a children Theatre acting group in order to become famous and she herself will be a famous author so that they can find Sana's birth mother. And so, the reportors bombard the Kurata residence for interviews. Sana is real torn up about how Misako will act if her real mother shows up. She turns to Hayama for support and when the mother does show up, we find out Sana's story. Her mother gave birth to her at fourteen. The father was an uncle of hers. Now she is remarried and has another daughter. Sana meets up with the little girl in the amusement park with Hayama and Tsuyoshi, the four-eyed. Afterwards, Sana's birth mother asks bashfully if Sana will come live with them. Sana says no, because she has no feelings towards her. But, she is grateful that she bore her, because Sana can see such a beautiful world. They keep on crying and then part on peaceful terms. When Sana gets home with her friends happily, Misako is in the living room. She told Mama about the meeting. Rei and the housekeeper stood at the doorway, listening anxiously. When Sana finished, she asked her mother in a small voice, "Mama, am I still welcome here?" Astonished, her mother said "Of course!" Mama says that she never wanted Sana to go and had wanted to say to Sana's birth mother that Sana is my child, not yours. Everyone starts to cry. This scene was very emotional and it showed the deep mother-daughter relationship between them. I think that's basically all I saw of the anime... sorry...
My Bias Opinions:Very entertaining, and sort of like a soap opera. Sana tries to tame Hayama Akito, the lone wolf who is controlling all the boys in her sixth grade class, they try to take over the class and not let the teacher teach. She finds out that Hayama is ignored by his older sister and father because due to his birth, his mother had died. Sana convinces Hayama, who was sort of suicidal, that his mother had loved him and that's why he was born. After the Hayama family became more comfortable with each other, Hayama starts to have amordous feelings toward Sana, although she is oblivious because of her boyfriend... It is very amusing to see the two establish a friendship. I read the ending to the manga version and it's a keeper. Really nice how the two main character's relationship is so strong and resilent.
