Mike played goal for Stony Brook from 1976-77 through 1979-80, when he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology. Nicknamed "Fluke", Mike played a total of 67 games in his career (32-27-8) He allowed 264 goals against to obtain a 3.94 career Goals Against Average. Mike was elected to the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference All-Star team for three consecutive seasons, from the 1977-78 season up through his final season in a Patriots uniform. Mike was also awarded with the Best Goalie Award for the Eastern Division of the MCHC in the '77-78 season, a team award for Defensive MVP that same season, and team MVP in '79-80. Mike also played extremely well at the 2002 Alumni Game, which he also helped organize. Mike began graduate work at Adelphi University in 1983 and received his Master of Science degree in Hydrogeology in 1985. Mike also worked with the Stony Brook Hockey team from 1983-90 as goaltender coach. He now works for theNassau County Department of Public Works as a Hydrogeologist.
