Joe transferred to Stony Brook in 1996, after receiving his Associates Degree from Hudson Valley Community College. One of the most powerful leaders to ever captain a Stony Brook team, Joe has quite an impressive hockey resume. Joe played for Sachem High School, which won back to back State Championships in 1993 and 1994, his junior and senior years. Joe then went on to Hudson Valley, where he played two years for the Vikings before he would come to Stony Brook. When Joe came to Stony Brook, his presence was felt immediately, both on and off the ice. He was able to provide excellent offense and defense as a blueliner. Joe also brought his excellent leadership to the team, both verbally and physically. Joe was also a member of the 1999-2000 team that went to the American Collegiate Hockey Association National Tournament in Indiana and won the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference Championship. Joe graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary, and is now employed by Symbol Technologies. |
