Marc came to Stony Brook in the fall of 1996; after graduating from Sachem High School; adding much-needed strength to Stony Brook's defensive corp. Marc graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, with a minor in Business Management. Marc was a member of the 1999-2000 team that went to the American Collegiate Hockey Association National Tournament in March 2000. Perhaps the highlight of Marc's career; he scored the game winning goal in the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference Championship Game, on March 5, 2000, against NYU. The goal came with a slapshot off the right point, which put Stony Brook ahead for good.
