I personally went to the Arkansas reunion and met the most sweetest people ever. I went with my Dad, Gilbert Matherne who is a 75 year old trooper and my husband Ronnie Moore who was talked into becoming an associate by Robert Garrison's wife. I had the pleasure of meeting Don Purrington and his wife. There were attractive ladies from Austria, Switzerland, Germany and from the U.S., all to share with their husbands this grand event. I was ever so impressed and so excited to be among those who made America what it is today. How do we thank them, what do we say.
There never was a dull moment. The Troopers told their stories and if I only had a tape recorder, I would have taped it all. The load our troopers had to carry while in Germany in 1946-52 wasn't simple. It wasn't easy. It was the COLD WAR.
Bill Olive, everyone surely missed you and your wife at this reunion.
Out Post Seven, you are a great group of people.
