Background: Shawn had a very colorful childhood. Having his father die when he was young. Growing up with a younger brother who he always faught with was a big factor to why he went to the hospital quite a bit. At 15, he jumped from a tree, breaking his leg in 3 spots and didn't cry. Funny thing is he didn't rip his jeans. At 16 he moved out and lived on his own. At 18 he enrolled in the Academy. At the Academy, Shawn had some problems with fighting, he chose the wrong crowds to be with and it ended up almost costing him his Starfleet career. He finally settled down and finished the academy. During the first few years as an officer, Shawn was right with it. Pulling off great maneuvers in the Dominion war. He saved the USS Lexington-C crew a few times with some tricks but the ship was crippled when it was attacked by a battlecruiser and a squadron of Gem'Hadar Fighters. The Lexington-C was a Nebula Refit. Right now, Shawn has 1 full brother and 1 half brother because his mother remaried and had a son, A.J. Bernard. Shawn's real brother Davin is presumed dead and no body has been recovered. Shawn is greatly saddened by this and so is the rest of the family (Davin Mclaughlin has been moved to the Futility's End Timeline so 20 years in the future)
Personality profile: Very agressive when agitated. Usually calm. Has a big temper but is learning to control it. Doesn't socialize much because people are afraid of him due to his size.
