Background: Tria was born to Kaoi Hamachi and Mataka Chetomay. Born full blooded Cherokee, her father is the Head Tribal Cheif as was his father and his father and his father before him for many generations past. She is the youngest of 7 children and the only girl.  Her family learned early on that she was 'special', gifted in the area of spirualism. She has the ability to communicate with the dead, elders and ancestors of her people. Which had proven on many occasion to be helpful in time of trouble. She also has the ability to communicate with animals, and nature, believing all things have a spirt. She has a gentleness, a way, that seems to draw people to her. But don't be fooled by this gentle spirit, for if needed Tria can defend herself. Her six older brothers taught her several ways to protect herself. She has had to use this ability only a few times in the past. Its something she is reluctant to do, because of her beliefs. When she decided to leave the tribe, and head out into the world that most her people had not done for centuries her family saffened. Trying to convince her to stay and take her rightful place eventually in the tribe.  But Tria had other plans. She had a strong desire to help people but at the same time she had a strong desire to travel the heavens. She would tell her father she wanted to travel the heaven'slike the eagle. Soaring Eagle is her tribal name, because that was the first thing her mother saw when she gave birth to Tria. And the name was befitting. Personality: Tria is proud of her Cherokee heritage and doesn't take too kindly to others who mock it, or the beliefs she holds so dearly. Tria usually remains calm, quiet, draws on inner reflection. Tria believes there should always be a more peaceful resolution to things if possible. It isn't uncommon for Tria to use her abilities within the realm of a mission. She has gained many an insight for her crew and Captain through this. Always highly regarded and trusted, she is committed to her field of expertise and to her spiritual beliefs and will not compromise them. Physical Description: Stunning in appearance, small framed, bears the mark of the Cherokee nation. Something that was adopted in the 22nd century and given to children of high standing in the tribe, usually of Tribal Chiefs. A marking in the shape of two zig-zag lines with two small dots next to it, showing she is daughter of the High Chief. This marking is centered on her lower back. Her ability to handle situations as they arise surpasses many of the best. She fears nothing, not even death, having had to face death so many times as a child on into her adulthood through her spiritual journeys has given her a 'special' insight to its whole meaning. She seems to shy away from personal relationships. Not for lack of wanting one but most men throughout her life have been attracted to her for her beauty, not completely intersted in her as a whole person. Though I'm hopeful that one day she will meet that certain person who will love her for who she is, not just for her beauty.
