Gary Mitchell once created 10 babies in a genetic experiment. Twin girls were formed along with the other children. The two girls were named Ashlynn and Amaliya. Gary tested each child when they reached the age of 5 to see if any powers had been transferred to them. Most failed and were sent off to distant orphanages. Or so the remaining ones were told.
Ashlynn and Amaliya were two of the three that past the test. The other, a boy named Carl was separated from them and trained by Mitchell personally. The girls were slated to become Carl's genetic wombs when they came of age. So they were kept in seclusion until they reached the age of 18. By that time, Carl had already been taught how to harness his powers, and the girls had not been.
Thinking that he could control them like he controlled Carl, Mitchell attempted to make them bow to him. They did not. So he had them placed in stasis. But while he was trying to put them in stasis, he lost Carl as the girls used their un-controlled powers to try and escape. Eventually both were unconscious and put in stasis until Gary has the time to brain wash them.
They were founded later by a group looking to stop Mitchell for his crimes of which two of them were part of the ten children. After being reunited with the two named Marcus and Luke grown up and now in their late forties with families of their own, the twins set on their adventure of their lives on their own as they find independence, love and maybe one day start families of their own.
