On August 6, 2004, an arrest warrant was issued in Georgia for Matthew B. Cox for conspiracy,
stolen identification documents, mail and wire fraud, money laundering and social
security number fraud. Cox has used elaborate schemes to avoid capture,
including obtaining state-issued and counterfeit driver's licenses. He has not used
his true name since 2003. Cox has also been a fugitive from Hillsborough County,
Florida and the Middle District of Florida since December 2003 for probation
violation. He has been traced to locations in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North
Carolina and South Carolina.
