I have great admiration for the grocery giant that once reigned supreme across the South and the Mid-Atlantic region for the past 75 years. The company has fallen prey to unwillingness to change with the times and the expansion of competitors in its home territory, namely Wal-Mart, Publix and Delhaize America (Food Lion, Kash and Karry). Winn-Dixie has recently filed for bankruptcy (February 2005), but plans to revamp the company's aging image seems to be effecting a slow, but steady turn toward fortune again.
This concept would help in offering the company a fresh image in store design.
