Day One - June 27, 2005

Our first day was spent entirely buying Metro passes and visiting the Philippine Embassy off Massachusetts Avenue.
The flag flies at half-staff honoring the recent death of Cardinal Jaime Sin, a prominent leader who worked for reform and eradication of corruption in the government in the Philippines.
The embassy, one of the newest and most modern on Embassy Row.
