Darian Kadel was actually born on Rigal III where his parents, Federation officers were stationed at the time. Growing up in a small Federation colony was often difficult at times and Darian often missed out on some of his childhood since he was almost forced to grow up quickly. His brother, Luke, was often his only play-mate growing up.
This experience gave Darian a unique opportunity to learn first hand many Ferderation duties which were not offered to others until a much later time in their lives. He learned the dynamics of warp coils while others of his age were just learning the history of the Federation.
Darian took up flying small air craft at the age of sixteen, and piloted his first shuttle at the age of seventeen. When his parents suggested that he may enlist in Starfleet he was at first concerned. He did not want to be forced into a boring job like his parents.
The following year, Luke left home to work on the far side of the planet in a factory. Darian, now 18 quickly realized that he must make something of his life. He applied and was accepted to Starfleet academy very quickly.
He attended the Academy and received very good grades, although only had a few good friends whom he trusted. He showed an aptitude for flying vessels, especially shuttle craft and graduated with first class honours in that field. He was then transferred to the Starship Chaplain were he served for quite a few years until he was finally transferred to the starship Horizan. It was during his years on the Chaplain that he was awarded the award for extream kindness to the people of the planet Ario.
Although Darian is fairly 'inner'. He usually keeps to himself and sometimes may even seem a tad bit unpleasant to some, although if you get to know him he is quite friendly and personable. He enjoys interaction with people he knows and does so often. It is really a matter of gaining his trust and companionship.
Special Intrests: Darian has been known to play instruments such as the Vulcan lyre. He also enjoys playing a good game of blackjack now and again. |
