While in the Academy, Peter had it rough. He made a lot of friends, but still had the hardest time keeping up in class and keeping good grades. He was known as the "King" of all niters! But after one year of hard work, it all finally paid off. He was at the top of his class and was even commended by his tutors for his excellence in command training. In his third year of command school, Peter and his class were given a mission to carry out using a real ship and sub complementary crew.
The mission was simple, collect a few supply containers on Mars and Deliver them on Ivore twelve. Everything was running smoothly when four Andorian raiders attacked the Sabre class vessel, and the class was forced to retreat back into Earth orbit for protection.
But one of the raiders managed to destroy one of the warp nacelles, leaving the ship unable to maintain a stable warp field. With the ship leaking drive plasma, and little or no power for the impulse engines, the ship itself seemed dead in space. Life support was failing and it seemed that the ships power supply was slowly being drained by all the damage it sustained. Peter and the crew soon found out that the supplies they were taking were power coils and experimental transphasic torpedoes. Since this was a training vessel, no torpedoes were needed for this exercise. So Peter gave the order to load the torpedoes and replace the damaged power coils with the new ones.
The ship regained power, and Peter ordered the firing of the torpedoes full spread. By surprise the weapons penetrated the shield of the Alorian raiders and impacted directly on their hull, and leaving substantial amount of damage of the enemies ships. Leaving just enough time for Peter’s crew to escape and resume course for Earth, while Federation worships intercepted and apprehended the rest of the intruders. The class failed to complete there objective, but was awarded with Excellence in Command and Engineering. The last year of the academy Peter had to go through extensive training in marine combat techniques before he could be fully admitted to an active Star Ship.
At the end of his four years, Peter was asked to be Chief helm officer aboard the USS Rhode Island. Then by proving himself to be a fine officer of Starfleet, Captain Harris, of the USS Alabama, offered Peter second of command of the Norway class Star vessel. The Alabama was a science ship exploring unknown phenomenons across the galaxy. Five years later, He was given full command of the USS Timber Wolf, an Akira class Star Ship. Eight years later a Borg sphere destroyed that ship at the battle of Wolf 352. Luckily, the Timber Wolf was one of the few ships in that war with their entire crew intact. Two months later, Peter was given command to another ship once again, and from this day, he is Captain of the Federation Star Ship Horizan. |
