PERSONAL HISTORY
Nick is the second son of Jennifer and Louis Cicero.He was born and raised in St. Louis, a city in the mid-western region of the North American continent on Earth.  His parents are both civilians.   His father is an engineer for a computer system manufacturer and his mother is a nurse. There isn’t a history of military service in his family, other than his older brother Marcus Alexander.  Marcus is 4 years older than Nick and he joined Starfleet academy as soon as he was able. Marcus is now a Lieutenant in the fleet and he is currently stationed at Starfleet headquarters while waiting for his next ship assignment.

Personal history:
Nick had a normal childhood.  His parents loved him and provided him with everything he needed. But during his childhood Nick had always competed with his brother.  He always tried to best his brother’s grades in school, be better at sports, etc.  The brothers also shared a passion for knowledge and adventure.  When they were young, they had spent nights pretending to be on a starship exploring the galaxy.  Naturally when Nick was 18 he enrolled in the academy just like his brother did.  He was accepted to the San Francisco campus, again just like his brother.  He did well in all his core courses at the academy, but he was never really the best at anything.  He majored in operations because he wanted to command someday and minored in engineering because he liked it better than the other choices. Nick continued his good work and steady performance through his major and minor courses of study During his studies he kept in contact with his brother, who always made it a point to mention where he did better than Nick. Nick beat him in a few areas, but overall Marcus had edged him out.  This was now just another point of contention for the two brothers.

Personality notes:  Nick is a steady individual, not prone to overreaction. He tends to focus in on the task at hand and lose sight of events going on around him.  He has never really faced failure, other than the psyche tests at the academy.   He is also driven to at least stay on par with his brother, but of course he wants to be better. There isn’t anything hateful about this rivalry, just two brothers competing.
