Nevertheless his old fashioned views on honor sometimes place him in conflict with Starfleet regulations. As Lieutenant he showed remarkable bravery during the assault on Cardassian space in 2374. thus being promoted to Lt. Cmdr. Hsung shows the potential to become one of Starfleet's best tactical officers. Starfleet Career Summary 2370: Assigned to U.S.S. Majestic as OPS-officer 2372: Promoted to Lieutenant. Accepts assignment on U.S.S. Galaxy as second security officer 2374: promoted to Lt. Cmdr. for bravery during the invasion of Cardassian space; transfers to Starfleet Intelligence (SFI) 2374-2376: *CONFIDENTIAL* (Reduced in Rank from Commander to Lt. Physical Description: Jack Hsung is 5'85 tall and weighs 161lbs. He has short, black hair, grey eyes and is slim yet agile. He has a scar running diagonal over his chest from a deep slash and has a dragon carrying a jing-jang in its claws tattooed on his back. Character Description: Jack Hsung is a man driven by his own code based on Zen-philosophy. He is an honorable man to the bone, earnest, duty- and respectful to others, keeping strangers at a distance, yet also very humorous and talkative with his friends. Although there is no hint and he would surely deny it he is a real family-guy as he loves children. He only shows his "dark" side when innocents are threatened or treachery is at hand, then tending to overreact and overstep borders. Character History: Jack Hsung was born in 2349 to Terence and Mary Hsung in Osaka, Japan. As his mother died early in 2352 he grew up under the strict guidance of his father, a highly decorated Starfleet diplomat. Influenced by his father he discovers the philosophy of Zen, soon making it the dominant factor of his life along with several traditionally-Japanese martial arts, proving his talent by winning the all-Japanese kendo championship in 2363. He enters SF-Academy in 2366 and majors in security and tactics. In late 2370 he graduates as Lt. Jr. Grade and accepts an assignment aboard the U.S.S. majestic, manning the OPS-station. In 2372, freshly promoted to Lt., he is transferred to the U.S.S. Galaxy as second security officer where he gets wounded during the ambush on Cardarissian space in 2374, earning him the rank of Lt. Cmdr. In the same year he follows the call to SFI where he works until 2379, as he requests to be transferred to the U.S.S. Odyssey. |
