Odyssey Physical Description: Humanoid. 5'9", hair: black, eyes: black, Skin color/texture: olive brown/humanoid. Character Description: Excelled at her studies, but grew distant from her peers. An exceptional counselor during internship, having many insights and a therapeutic demeanor. Although she excels at her work, she needs to ascertain the skills necessary to become a more mature counselor. Under review, it is seen that her aloof nature is the reason for her lack of personal involvement (an asset), but also her inability to 'connect' with her patients. All in all an outstanding listener who optimizes her inherent betazed abilities, but experience is still needed. Character History: Traveling across much of the Alpha Quadrant with her affluent parents throughout her young life, she showed early on her aversion to people. She chose solitary situations as a child, only confiding her in mother and father, but even then only rarely. Soon after she enrolled in Star Fleet, her parents died on a civilian ship, the cause being a warp core breech. A marked difference in her studies was noted. She went from being a mediocre engineering student, to the top of her class in the counseling field. Enrolling later than most students, she was already set apart from her comrades, which was furthered by her inherent reclusiveness. Although she shines as a counselor, especially in the field of inter-species relations, she lacks the emotional availability that suits most therapeutic personnel. She is distant, but has a certain dry humor around those she has grown accustomed to. Her strong Betazoid abilities make most social situations among non-mind readers awkward. Even among like company she feels out of place. A lover of the arts and solitude, social isolation suits her the best regardless.
