1.   VENUE LOCATION 

The site of the Texas Shootout will be the lacrosse fields on the west side of the A&M campus next to the tennis courts on the Texas A&M campus. 

Directions from Austin: Take highway 290 east to highway 21. Turn left on highway 21 and continue to almost to Bryan. Turn south or right on highway 47 and then left or east on highway 60. Turn right onto 2818 and then left on George Bush Drive. Turn left at the next light (Olsen Rd.). Turn left at the 4-way stop sign. Drive past the intramural fields and into the paved parking lot at the end of the road and park. The archery field is just south of Mount Aggie (our Texas ski slope).

Directions from Houston: Take I-45 north to Conroe. Turn west on highway 105 to Navasota. Turn north on Highway 6 at Navasota. Get on business 6 (also called Texas Ave.) at the south end of College Station. Turn left on George Bush Drive. Cross Welborn road and then the railroad tracks. Take the next right (Olsen Road). Turn left at the 4-way stop sign. Drive past the intramural fields and into the paved parking lot at the end of the road and park. The archery field is just south of Mount Aggie (our Texas ski slope).

The shooting area is 2 large flat fields facing north. Seating will be provided for participants in the form of bleachers and chairs. You may bring your own if you wish. There will be some tent space as well, but you might want to bring an umbrella for the sun. Water will be provided during the tournament. Porta-potties will be located close to the shooting line. There are several places located nearby for lunch and there will be snacks and sandwiches served on the field as well. Parking is a short walk across the field.

2.  HOTEL/ MOTEL INFORMATION

The Manor House Inn- Tournament Headquarters  (75 rooms reserved for Friday and Saturday nights)
Located on Texas Avenue 4 miles south of campus The room block will be held until April 14th so be sure to have your room  reserved by then.

To reserve your room and get the tournament rate, call (800) 231-4100 or (979) 764-9540. Let them know you are with the Texas Shootout  block. Amenities include outdoor swimming pool, continental breakfast 6-10 a.m., free HBO/cable television, fridge and microwave in the rooms, 24 hour security and a complimentary coffee and fruit 24 hrs.

Got an RV and want to camp right next to the field? There are two RV parking areas on campus that go for $25 per night. There is water and electrical hookups. One of the lots is our parking lot for the Shootout. The other is 1/2 a mile away at Olsen Field and has picnic tables. There is a dump station at the Olsen Field site. 3.   AIRPORT INFORMATION

The nearest airport is Easterwood Airport (CLL) located 4 miles west of the campus on Highway 60. American and Sky West service it. There are several car rental agencies at the airport as well as cab service. Houston’s Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is 100 miles south in Houston. Austin’s airport is 100 miles west in Austin (AUS).

4 .   ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT PERIOD

There will be a banquet on Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the student recreation center. The banquet meal will be catered by Buppy's and will include beef and chicken fajitas with all the trimmings as well as apple and peach cobbler for dessert.

6.    CUTS FOR ELIMINATIONS

    Cuts will be made in any division with over 64 entrants. Byes will be awarded as necessary otherwise:
