This was the Alumni/New Student Reception and both were represented well. We had 3 new students show up - see the italicized names in the list above. They had a chance to talk with alums and get a feel for what school would be like. I think they are still planning on attending even after talking to us.
Our total attendance was 29, 19 of those being local alumni. This is a great turnout considering we have under 100 alumni TOTAL in the San Diego area. Five of the people in attendance were coming to their first MMAN alumni gathering, which is a great sign.
One special note - we had a distinguised alumna at the reception as well - Linda Brower from the class of 1976 was in attendance with her boyfriend Steve. Linda was part of the very first MBA class that included women. We hope to see them at future events as well.
The event was held at En Fuego Cantina in Del Mar, which seems to be a good central point for people in San Diego and North County - we will probably try to make that our normal reception location in the future.
