'6-0 Defence'
6-0 Defence is sometimes played because the backs are not strong shooters.
The basic concept is that every defender is responsible for their player -
1s take wings, 2s take backs and 3s take Centre and Pivot.
However they also help each other if needed.
If the attacking players change positions then the defence swaps who they defend. The two 3s have to share the responsibility for the C and P by communicating which one they have at that moment e.g. "I've got Centre" or "Pivot's yours".
Sometimes the 3s help with LB or RB because the backs are moving towards the C which makes it hard for the 2s to defend them. In this case the 2 helps with whoever the 3 had.
The first defender (1D) takes LW. 2D is ready to help if needed.
2D takes LB. 1 and 3 defenders are ready to help if needed.
3D takes C. 2 and 3 defenders are ready to help if needed.
