The Pictures Project

As a gift to my Mother, who passed away this summer, (she is the little girl in pink), my brothers and sister and I will assemble and organize family photographs she had in her possession. I will digitally archive some of the treasured photos and display a few of them here. For each photo we'll try to document the year and where it was taken, and who appears in it.

This photo of my parents and me was taken in front of the Taj Mahal in Agra, India in 1969. Inside this magnificent marble structure are the tombs of an Indian king and queen. Two false tombs are located on the floor above where the actual pair is located. Inside the Taj Mahal, one's echo is audible for over 15 seconds.

These are a pair of ID cards issued to my parents by the War Department during and after World War II.
