| PATH train directions from Manhattan Take the NEWARK-bound PATH train (from either 33rd St & 6th Ave., 23rd St. & 6th Ave., 14th St. & 6th Ave., 9th St. & 6th Ave., or Christopher St. & Hudson St.) to Grove St. (the 2nd PATH stop in NJ). Walk approx. 5 blocks (north-westward) along Newark Avenue to Monmouth St. Make a right onto Monmouth St., and walk 4 blocks (north) to 6th St. Make a left onto Sixth St. Holy Rosary is on Sixth Street, between Monmouth and Brunswick streets. From New York City via Holland Tunnel When coming out of the tunnel into New Jersey, BEAR LEFT. At the fourth street crossing, turn LEFT at the light (putting you onto Jersey Avenue). Proceed straight, being careful not to take a left into Newport City Mall. You will come to a Park, which you must drive around by making a LEFT, a RIGHT, another RIGHT, and then a LEFT. You will be back on Jersey Avenue after doing this. Continue straight until you reach Sixth Street, and make a RIGHT onto Sixth Street. Holy Rosary is on Sixth Street, between Monmouth and Brunswick streets. From NJ / Route 280 Take Route 280 East past the Harrison Bridge and then follow signs to Jersey City which will have you BEARING RIGHT and putting you on Harrison Avenue. BEAR RIGHT again at the sign for Jersey City / Routes 1, 7, and 9. Proceed over bridge, and continue going straight past turnoffs to Holland Tunnel and Routes 1 & 9 South. You will now be on Newark Avenue, following signs in direction of Kennedy Blvd. At the second light, you will be crossing Kennedy Blvd. Continue straight to the next light, which is at “Five Corners,” intersecting Summit Avenue. Make a DIAGONAL RIGHT in order to stay on Newark Avenue. Continue straight until a light where you will see a large High School (Dickenson High) on your left. BEAR RIGHT to remain on Newark Avenue. After the flashing light (and a Fire House on your right), make a LEFT turn onto Fifth Street. Continue two blocks, and then make a LEFT onto Monmouth street. At the next corner, make a LEFT onto Sixth Street. Holy Rosary will be on your right. From NJ / Route 78 East Take Route 78 East towards the Holland Tunnel. Continue on the New Jersey Turnpike extension heading towards Exit 14C (Holland Tunnel). Follow directions “From the New Jersey Turnpike / I-95” below. From NJ / the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) Take NJ Turnpike to Exit 14C / Holland Tunnel. Take the first exit after the toll, which will be named "Grand Street." Go straight to the first traffic light which will be Montgomery Street. Make a RIGHT onto Montgomery street. Continue to Monmouth Street and make a LEFT. The cross streets will now be in numerical ascending order. Continue to Sixth Street and make a LEFT. Holy Rosary will be on your right (344 Sixth Street). |
