UW ESA Minutes
13 November, 2002
12:30-1:20
Taken by Marc Ducusin

Virginia, Virginia, sage Woolf on the wall,
O where shall we hold the olde Winter Snow Ball?
Shall we have a DJ, a bar or some bands?
Is the fate of our fete in that globe in your hands?

We watch you with reverence, beldame mysterious,
As surely as dear Richard Simmons is queerious.
Please pardon my minutes; they’re later than planned—Lo!
—But only this Sunday I finished Orlando.

O steadfast Virginia, December draws nigh.
Grant us thy aid lest our Snow Ball not fly.

                                                          Explicit.

-Erina: Book Auction yielded $288.00!  Thank you to all those who helped and congratulations to the winners!

-More potential Snow Ball locations:
Larissa: Knights of Columbus Centre
Hilary: Masonic Temple [secretary’s addendum: What’s up with all these bastions of male homosociality?]
-Clara from UWSA has not contacted us yet
-Possible alliance with other departments: Theatre, History, Philosophy, Classics
-Honours English Info Meeting Monday, Nov. 18; please attend if possible
-Can anyone entertain at the English Dept. function on Dec. 20 (the day of our Snow Ball)? (Cortney & Marc, the burlesque world beckons . . .)
-Meeting adjourned for Exodus of book-boxes (McGraw Hill guy sets up shop tomorrow)
Special thanks to Cortney and Hilary for transporting all the books!
