We want 2003-04 to be our best year yet! We traditionally start the year with an autumn Book and Bake Sale to raise money for inner city-schools. In November we will hold a Book Basket Draw and in December we will host a Winter Snow Ball (aka. a costume party) to finish up the term.
February is Reading Month! Our 3rd Annual Literary Week will showcase student and faculty readers over the lunch hours, with a different theme each day.
Other events will be initiated and developed as the year progresses. Current members have already voiced interest in regular social gatherings, excursions to local theatrical productions, academic events and writing groups as possible ventures this year. We're also eager to listen to the community, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to drop by the English Common Room (2A47) to let us know! |
