5:30 Book Sale, November 5th to 9th, Erin and Erica will look into securing hall space for the next meeting.

5:32 -Poetry Corner in the Uniter?  Will we feature different poetry every issue?  Individuals could submit work to the ESA, but who would be published?  How do we pick work?  Because there is a limited amount of space in Uniter it will have to be 400-500 words, do we need to follow certain themes, to coincide with Uniter stories?  Political as opposed to abstract? Concerning recent events in New York City?  Has it been beaten to death already?
-Problem:  Don’t want to restrict to ESA members only, it should beopen to all students.
-Could we have a literary supplement?  Could the ESA raise money for a supplement?
-Advertising for supplement, posters, ads in the Uniter, if we had a
supplement then would it need to be politically based?
-We could call for submissions, use reserve poems from Juice?  We could work with Juice?  We would have to get people’s permissions, copyright concerns?

5:45 Literary Week?  We need to sell the books in James’ basement, instead of a 24 hour literacy drive, a week of lunch hours?  We need to arrange for readers, the convocation Hall needs to be rented, could we link this event with the Literary supplement launch?  We could have one day to have literacy supplement writers   read their work.  We could have a favorite things day?  Or student work day?  We could have people dress up as their favorite writers! : )

5:55 Discussion of previous ideas?
-Sara disrupts everything, anarchy ensues.

6:02 Conrad leaves, but not before proclaiming a feeling of general happiness.

6:05 Sister Macnamara could start in January, we could  have them come in on our literary
week, are people interested in fundraising for school?  Reading to elementary classes?

6:10 Joint Christmas party with the History Association?  We could dress as favorite characters in writting or history, wouldl their be a charge, or would we fundraise?

6:12 If literacy week is a smash, could we throw a big bash?  (I realize that rhymes but I didn’t mean it to) If so when could we do that?

6:15 In regards to the book sale, we are also planning on having a bake sale, we need to organize people to bring food stuffs, (rice krispie cakes, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, etc.)  We also need to arrange for posters, advertising in Uniter, etc.

6:17 We need to set a date for the Literacy week, and we also need to contact the Free Press, Radio stations, etc.

6:25 Round Table, excited over the number of people that showed up for our meeting, brainstorm on Literacy Weeek, writers guild, advertisment, people interested in Min

6:30 Speaking Crow, we are trying to organize an adult field trip, to Acadamy Coffee Company, first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm.  Kristian is looking into it for the next meeting.
