| ESA Minutes For Wednesday October 3rd 2001 1. Discussion of volunteering for schools, for more information call Erica 2. Web page design, Shannah-Lee possible bulletin board on web page? Web page links to U of W home page? Post minutes on Web Page? Any new ideas 3. Keys? How do we get them? Who gives them out? 4. Improving the bulletin board in the Common Room? 5. Decision to end all meeting with a go-around, so everyone says something at meetings. 6. Coffee Maker? Can we set up a fair trade, 5 cents per cup? 7. 24 hour literacy, how do we pick readers? Writers guild? (Sara) 8. Interdisciplinary discussion? We should include a variety of groups, the women's center, aboriginal students, LGBT*, we should talk and work together, have group projects? (Marc, Sara, Shannah-Lee) 9. Phone? How do we get one? How much will it cost? Number's for the phone? Potential problems? 10. Literacy marathon, could include children's hour, Robert Munch, Fairy Tales, Harry Potter, Horror Stories (with candles and darkness), We could have a LITERARY WEEK, during the Free Period, we could contact the Free Press, A Channel because they are really into the community aspect. Possible locations, Black Room instead of Bulman Center. 11. Students attend staff meetings, how many student representatives canwe have in the meeting at one time? And who wants to be the representative? How often do they attend meetings? 12. How many more members do we need to be an official member Association? Who do we have to contact? Etc. 13. Next meeting Wednesday October 10th 5:15 in the Common Room. |
